Taking inspiration from the wildly organic and vibrant artwork of Mutant Salon and Young Joon Kwak exhibited in the residency and show, CAVERNOUS, at LACE (Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions), I designed this exhibition publication to not only catalog the events, performances and artworks, but to also transport the viewer into that world and embody the anarchistic and genre-bending ethos of the artists. The book features artist conversations that thread throughout the book, weaving together the various programming and artworks exhibited in the show and showcases the aesthetic and philosophical themes brought forth in the images and text.
